Ages of Children

Teeny Scribbles, LLC provides childcare services for up to 12 
children, ranging in age from newborn to 4 years old. Our operating hours are Monday through Thursday from8:00 am to 5:30pm, and Fridays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.


Infant Program: 

At Teeny Scribbles, LLC our infant program is designed to provide a warm, nurturing environment that supports the early development of children from 6 weeks to 12 months. With a caregiver-to-child ratio of 1:3, we ensure individualized attention and a high level of care. 

Program Highlights:

  • Safe and Comfortable Environment: Our infant area is equipped with cozy cribs, soft play mats, and age-appropriate toys to ensure a safe and comforting space for your little one. 
  • Individualized Care: We recognize that each baby has unique needs and developmental stages. Our caregivers provide personalized attention to support your infant's growth and comfort, including tailored nap and feeding routines. 
  • Sensory Stimulation: We incorporate sensory activities that engage your baby's senses, such as soft textures, soothing music, and visually stimulating toys. These activities support cognitive and sensory development. 
  • Early Learning Activities: Gentle activities like reading, singing, and simple interactive games are part of our daily routine, fostering language development and early social skills. 
  • Developmental Milestones: Our caregivers closely observe your baby's developmental milestones, working closely with you to ensure that your infant's growth is on track and celebrating each achievement. 
  • Healthy Routines: We maintain consistent schedules for feeding, diaper changes, and naps to create a sense of predictability and security for your baby. 
  • Parent Communication: We provide regular updates through the Brightwheel app and communicate openly with parents about their baby's daily experiences, progress and any concerns. 
With our low caregiver-to-child ratio, we provide a loving an supportive environment where your baby feels safe and cherished while laying the foundation for future learning and optimal development.

Sample Infant Daily Schedule:


  • 7:30 am - Arrival & Morning Greeting: warm welcome and transition from home to daycare.
  • 8:00 am - Morning Feeding: Personalized feeding time to accommodate each baby's needs.
  • 8:30 am - Playtime: Interactive activities, including tummy time, sensory play, and gentle exploration. 
  • 9:30 am - Morning Nap: Quiet time in a cozy crib for a restful nap.
  • 11:00 am - Midday Feeding: Another personalized feeding schedule.
  • 11:30 am - Developmental Activities: Engaging activities like reading, signing, and soft toy play.
  • 12:30 pm - Afternoon Nap: Time for a second nap to ensure rest and comfort.
  • 2:00 pm - Afternoon Feeding: Feeding time to maintain energy and comfort. 
  • 2:30 pm - Sensory Exploration: Activities focused on sensory development, including music and tactile play.
  • 4:00 pm - Quiet Playtime: Calming activities such as looking at picture books or soft interaction games. 
  • 4:30 pm - Parent Pickup: Preparing for the end of the day and transitioning back to home.

Toddler Program

At Teeny Scribbles, LLC we understand that toddlers are eager explore their environment and are developing a positive self-concept and sense of autonomy. Our program is designed to create a safe and stimulating learning environment that encourages toddlers to explore and express themselves.

Toddler Program Highlights


  • Caregiver to Child Ratio: Our ratio is 1:5, with a toddler group size of 4-5. This small group allows for individualized attention.
  • Positive Guidance: Our caregivers are trained to provide positive guidance and direction as toddlers learn to express themselves and navigate social interactions.
  • Fostering Autonomy: We help toddlers develop a sense of autonomy by giving them daily tasks and opportunities to do things for themselves, such as safely exploring the environment and making choices throughout the day. 
  • ​Developmentally Enriching Activities: We prepare and provide a variety of activities that contribute to overall development, including:
    • ​Sensory Activities: Engaging activities that stimulate the senses and encourage exploration.
    • Language Activities: Storytime, singing, flashcards and simple conversations to enhance language development.
    • Cognitive Activities: Puzzles, matching games, and problem-solving tasks to promote cognitive skills.
    • ​Physical Activities: Movement-based activities like dancing, climbing, and outdoor play to support physical development.

Toddler Sample Daily Schedule:

  • 7:30 am - Arrival & Free Play: Children arrive, greet caregivers, and engage in free play activities to ease the transition from home to daycare.
  • 8:30 am - Morning Circle Time: Group activity that includes songs, stories, and discussions to start the day with a sense of community and routine. 
  • 9:00 am - Snack Time: Healthy snacks are provided to refuel and energize the toddlers. 
  • 9:30 am - Learning Activities: Structured activities focused on sensory, language, cognitive and physical development, such as puzzles, art projects, and interactive games. 
  • 10:30 am - Outdoor Play: Time for outdoor exploration and physical activities, such as riding tricycles, climbing and running. 
  • 11:30 am - Lunch: Nutritious lunch served, followed by hand washing and preparing for rest time. 
  • 12:00 pm - Nap/Quiet: Toddlers rest or nap in a quiet, comfortable environment. Non-nappers engage in quiet activities like reading or puzzles. 
  • 3:00 pm - Afternoon Snack: Healthy snacks are provided to help transition from rest time to afternoon activities. 
  • 3:30 pm - Free Play & Guided Activities: Combination of free play and caregiver-led activities, allowing toddlers to explore and make choices.
  • 4:00 pm - Music & Movement: Activities that involve dancing, signing, and other forms of movement to promote physical and social development.
  • 4:30 pm- Story Time: A quiet and calming activity with stories and picture books to wind down the day. 
  • 4:45 pm - Parent Pickup: Preparation for going home, with caregivers providing updates to parents about their child's day. 
  • 5:30 pm: Closing - Final pickup and closing of the daycare for the day. 

​This schedule provides a balanced mix of structured activities and free play, ensuring that toddlers have opportunities for learning, exploration, and rest throughout the day. 

Preschool Program

We provide a balanced blend of structured learning and play, fostering a love for learning and preparing children for future academic success. 

Preschool Program Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Activities: we offer a well-rounded curriculum that includes language arts, math, science social studies and creative arts. Our activities are designed to be engaging and developmentally appropriate, promoting cognitive, social and emotional growth. 
  • Hands-On Learning: Activities are designed to be interactive and hands-on, encouraging children to explore and discover through play and experimentation. 
  • Social Development: We focus on building social skills such as cooperation, sharing and communication. Group activities and collaborative projects help children develop strong social connections and teamwork abilities. 
  • Physical Activities: Daily physical activities, both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting), promote physical health and development. Activities including running, jumping, climbing, and organized games. 
  • Creative Expression: Opportunities for creative expression through art, music and dramatic play are integral parts of our program, allowing children to explore their creativity and imagination.

  • 3:00 pm: Afternoon Snack: Healthy snacks are provided to help transition from rest time to afternoon activities. 
  • 3:30 pm: Music & Movement: Activities that involve dancing, singing, and other forms of movement to promote physical and social development. 
  • 4:00 pm: Story Time: A quiet, calming activity with stories and picture books to wind down the day. 
  • 4:30 pm: Parent Pickup: Preparation for going home, with caregivers providing updates to parents about their child's day.

Special Programs:

At Teeny Scribbles, LLC, we offer a variety of special programs to enrich our children's experience, including a weekly music class with The Music Playhouse of Chicago.

  • Every Wednesday, we hold a fun and interactive music class that includes a mixed-age group from infants to preschoolers. Led by a professional music instructor, this class features singing, rhythm exercises, and exposure to different musical instruments. The mixed-age setting promotes social interaction and learning among different age groups, enhancing auditory skills, rhythm, and coordination, and fostering a love for music and creative expression.
